Domaine de Maria Church/ Monastery is a catholic monastery at Da Lat, Vietnam. Church has been constructed in 1940 and is French and Vietnamese style of architecture. Domain De Marie Dalat Church is located>Da Lat City. It is built style that reminded French architecture in 17th Century. The walls are made by pink limestone. Domain De Marie is decorated by stained-glass windows, featuring 3m in height of Virgin Mary statue that stands upon a globe of the world. The statue brings a picture like a Vietnamese woman and was designed by French architect Jonchère in 1943. It was donated by Mrs. Decoux. Domaine de Maria Monastery was nicknamed the "Church of Cherry" by locals, it is described as mix of French and Vietnamese architecture. Influences>Rong house style of Vietnamese, a type of stilt house typical of the Central Highlands area of Vietnam. The front of church has a shape like an isosceles triangle and is noted for the number of small arch-shaped windows. A cross is located on top of the front of triangle roof of the building. Church is part of a work 29.6 acres (12 ha) in width, which also contains two convents.
As of 2007, 23 nuns of the strain of the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul have still lived with numerous young women and children that are hard-of-hearing at the monastery. The Strain of Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul has present at Dalat in French period since 1940, two were sent Dalat in 1941 to scout out an area to establish a monastery. The work was started on building in 1940.
